11th Annual Diamond Angel’s Fairy Tale Ball to Benefit Children’s Hospital
The 11th Annual Diamond Angel’s Fairy Tale Ball, to benefit Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital was held at the Westin Diplomat Saturday, November 8th and our very own Elizabeth Jacobs, Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting Search and Dana Rabinowitz, Director of Finance and Accounting Search served as Event Chair and Auction Chair, respectively, for the fourth year in a row.
This year’s theme was Mary Poppins and over 600 guests attended this fun-filled evening featuring live performances by the original Billy Joel band and the 90’s pop/rock giants Gin Blossoms. In 1992, the Gin Blossoms rose to fame with their breakaway album, “New Miserable Experience” which kept the band on the charts for almost 3 years.
Under the direction provided by Elizabeth, Dana and other Diamond Angels, the event had another very successful year, raising over $300, 000 to support Joe DiMaggio’s mission – to provide safe, quality, cost-effective, patient and family-centered care regardless of one’s ability to pay, with the goal of improving the health of the community it serves.
The Diamond Angels, a volunteer group of advocates for Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital, have held eleven events to benefit the hospital and have raised over $3 million for both the Pediatric Oncology Unit and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
