Austin Coon joins StevenDouglas as Managing Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region, where he leads Finance & Accounting search. With over 14 years of recruiting industry experience, he brings a deep understanding of the market and a consultative approach. Austin began his career in healthcare recruiting before transitioning into Finance & Accounting search in 2016. Over the years, he advanced into leadership roles, earning a promotion to Director and later becoming a minority Partner, where he played a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding the firm's valuation by 500% between 2020 and 2024. His background in business development, talent strategy, and leadership gives him a well-rounded perspective in advising clients on their hiring needs.

He specializes in strategic Finance & Accounting search, focusing on understanding the unique needs of both clients and candidates to ensure meaningful, lasting placements. A graduate of the College of Charleston with dual degrees in Sociology and Urban Studies. Austin has been deeply involved in the rugby community since 2008, first playing for the College of Charleston, where he served as Vice President and Captain. After college, he played for the Charleston Outlaws Men’s Rugby Club and later helped build and grow the Tobacco Road Rugby Club in North Carolina, holding leadership roles as Social Chair, Vice President, and Captain. Though he retired from playing in 2019, he remains an active alumni supporter. Austin is also passionate about giving back to his community. He has been actively involved with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Alzheimer’s Association, and Special Olympics.
