Joe Mella steps into StevenDouglas as Vice President of Client Engagement, bringing over 20 years of invaluable experience earned from his tenure at Goldman Sachs. As CAO over the Finance and Risk divisions, he managed a large budget, and had oversight for finance functions, global human resources, and divisional administration. Prior to that, Joe was the Global Head of Experienced Hire Recruiting, managing sourcing and hiring across divisions and regions, and overseeing firmwide programs. During his tenure, Joe served in a broad range of roles across accounting, finance, administration, and global recruitment.
Drawing on his tenure as Goldman Sachs' Global Head of Recruitment, Joe possesses a keen understanding of the intricacies of talent acquisition and client relationship management. His proven track record of success in navigating complex organizational challenges and delivering exceptional results positions him as a trusted advisor and leader.
In his current role, Joe is tasked with engaging and forging relationships with clients, ensuring that StevenDouglas is impeccably servicing all their needs. Leveraging his extensive experience in client engagement and strategic leadership, Joe will play a pivotal role in driving growth and fostering long-term partnerships across divisions.
Additionally, Joe's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University. Beyond his professional career, Joe is deeply committed to various external engagements, serving on the Corporate Advisory Board for ALPFA, the National Board of Directors for the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), and the Executive Advisory Board for the Accounting & Taxation department of St. John’s University, among others. Recognized for his contributions, Joe has received numerous national awards and is sought after as a speaker and panelist for various organizations.
